Foodie Alert – Places to Try around USC

A person who eats is always a happy person said the great Julia Child. Unless you’re a foodaholic you will definitely not understand the significance of it. A few places around USC that you can visit regularly and personally that I love and keep re-visiting are:

  1. Pizza Studio: Suggested by many, it proves its worth. Somewhat like a “subway” but for pizza, offers many different options. Rosemary base is a must-try. The best thing about this place is that it gives you the freedom of choice on what goes on your pizza rather than choosing from what is a concise description on the menu.
  2. Chipotle: It is one of the healthy places that really surprise you with its portion size. It fills you up and again lets you choose the items that go into your meal. If you’re a rice lover then go for it and if you feel like indulging, try the Guacamole.
  3. Manas: I have mixed feelings about this one. Being an Indian myself, I should have strong feelings towards it but it is tad bit expensive and less vegetarian options. Although, the Biryani is to kill for, so that is a must try and if you really miss home. It’s nearby and gives you a sense (almost) of home food.
  4. Coldstone: It has birthday cake flavored ICECREAM and we all scream for ice-cream! Other places to try include CPK, Blaze, Cream, California Gogi (Korean food), Trio House (Thai) and well I would like to get some suggestions as well.
