Last weekend, I got to visit one of my best friends from undergrad in Austin, Texas! Julie, who is also getting her PhD in Biomedical Engineering, is studying at the University of Texas and is focusing her research on neural tissue regeneration and stroke recovery. Because I got there Thursday morning, Julie still had some schoolwork to do so I had the opportunity to walk around the UT campus. I tried my best to find the central hub or a longhorn statue, but UT is simply too big! I did discover a neat little café inside of a computational engineering hall though so I was able to settle down and catch up on some of my own work.
