⭐Become a Viterbi Graduate Student Ambassador! ⭐

As a current student, you know better than most what it’s like to go through the graduate school application process and understand the big decisions newly admitted students will make over the coming months. Your main responsibility as a Viterbi Graduate Student Ambassador is to represent the school at campus events and chat with current applicants and admitted students.

Through informal in-person and online chats, you will offer applicants support, guidance, and information to help them see their futures at USC.

USC Viterbi Graduate Ambassador:

Complete mandatory Student Ambassador Training and attend all events required.
Participate in ALL recruitment-related events, including Visit Viterbi (spring) and Preview Days (fall), which may involve serving as a panelist, mingling during lunch, and/or guiding a campus tour.
Partake in a variety of projects throughout the semester to showcase the student experience on Viterbi’s social media channels—from simple photo submissions and live stories to short blog posts.
Chat with admitted students through Unibuddy, a social platform that connects current students with prospective applicants from around the world. Answer questions about your program and life at USC. You can keep track of your chats on the Unibuddy mobile app, which makes it easy to answer on the go and capture your everyday experiences, as they happen.
Meet with prospective or admitted students via Zoom or on campus when required.
MUST be willing to provide a campus tour.

Be a confident communicator who enjoys producing engaging content about USC.
Have a positive outlook on university life and study.
Be flexible and willing to respond to questions quickly and efficiently.
Be responsible, open and honest in your communications.
Be a good role model for prospective students.
Adopt a mature and professional approach to conversations – particularly when dealing with difficult or challenging questions.
