Limited Status Student: Application Checklist

STEP 1

Verify Application Deadlines

Spring 2022: DEN@Viterbi applicants are eligible for an application deadline extension of November 1, 2021. All required application materials are due at this time. After submitting your application, email DEN@Viterbi.usc.edu with your 10-digit USC ID, full name and program(s). Please also indicate that you were formerly a Limited Status student.

Fall 2022: January 15, 2022.
DEN@Viterbi applicants can request an application deadline extension, if needed. For more information, please email DEN@Viterbi.usc.edu.

STEP 2

STEP 3

Start the USC Graduate Application

Tips for Limited Student Applicants

  • USC ID: Under "USC Background Information," select 'Yes' for the question 'Have you previously applied or attended USC?' and indicate your existing 10-digit USC ID.
  • Academic History:
    • Upload a copy of your official, university-issued transcripts on institutional letterhead for all postsecondary institutions attended. Missing transcripts will result in an incomplete status and delayed application review.
    • Include USC under 'Colleges Attended' to ensure your Limited Status coursework is included in your application review. You do not need to upload your USC transcripts.
  • DEN@Viterbi Status: In the 'Questions' section under 'Program Materials' select 'Yes' under 'Do you intend to pursue your graduate program fully online via DEN@Viterbi?'

STEP 4

Contact DEN@Viterbi.usc.edu if you have any questions before, during, or after the application process. Be sure to include your 10-digit USC ID, full name and the program(s) you have applied to in all email communications.
