A picture of home

It’s a surreal feeling to get on an airplane from a place that is 85 degrees (Los Angeles, California) and land in a blizzard of 25 degrees (Cleveland, Ohio). But as much as everyone here repeats the refrain, “I’m sorry we’re having such nasty weather,” I really do enjoy the change of pace that visiting my family during “spring” break provides. Ohio provides us with 4 beautiful seasons, and even though it might be spring somewhere — it’s definitely still winter here. The cornfields are stunningly beautiful in the harvest season but now they are still beautiful, but devastatingly so. Something about the barrenness and the turn of the seasons is beautiful to me. Maybe it’s the hope held out for a better time — spring. This communicates much of the feeling of life in general: the ups and the downs. Keep continuing, keep ‘fighting on’ as USC would say, and hold out until spring time. Check out a few of my pictures from the break in rural Ohio.
