So guess what happened? Here I am wallowing in my assignments and my awesome friend, Tanu surprises me by saying that she has booked two tickets for both of us to watch the Ellen’s show live 😀 Can you believe it? Best part apart from the fact that we were going to watch Ellen was that the tickets were free of cost!!
Ellen’s show is shot in Warner Brother studios in Burbank, LA and is currently showcasing its fourteenth season; we got standby tickets (as in that we didn’t get to be on camera) but were promised with tickets again to actually come back to watch the show and be on camera. We were absolutely ecstatic when we heard Jimmy Kimmel was one of the guests that day along with Scott Eastwood; there was also a performance by Chance the Rapper and Lil Wayne. After waiting patiently for about 2 hours we were sent in and then the music started playing, Tanu and I danced like crazy and I guess they were impressed with our moves cause we did win a free #IamatEllen t-shirt (which pumped us up even more!).
After this, the majesty herself came onto the stage and she looked on with a kind smile, no wonder she was awarded the humanitarian of the year award, thanked everyone and then danced along so naturally. I expected to see a lot of cuts, edits while the show was happening but was pleasantly surprised that she was such a natural when it came to turning up her humor; there were no cuts, no edits she went on with her guests and also continued introducing ridiculous apps. Jimmy Kimmel and Scott Eastwood played along to “Who would you rather” and it was pretty fun to watch the outcome (Can you guess who won? 😉 ). The performances were good too but throughout the show you can’t take your attention off of Ellen, is what I guarantee. One of the best experiences so far and I can’t wait to go back again. Sending out a big hug to my friend who got us the tickets and love to Ellen for uplifting our spirits with her humor.
