Last week, Archana and I drove down to Irvine to celebrate Stephanie’s birthday! Steph recently moved to Costa Mesa to be closer to her new job. She’ll be one of six employees in Edwards Lifesciences’ Technical Development Program! Although she’s no longer here in LA, I’m still glad that she is only an hour away. Arch and I both had a lot of work to do that day, so we weren’t able to leave until 7, but we still got to Costa Mesa in time for dinner! We went to South Coast Plaza’s Din Tai Fung and ordered three rounds of soup dumplings as well as bok choy, fried rice, and noodles.
While stuffing our faces with delicious food, we also wore some party hats that I got on the way home from lab and played with tsumtsum plush toys that Arch got us from Disney (she’s interning there this summer!). I don’t think anybody in the restaurant would have guessed that we were all college graduates, but we had an incredible time goofing off. I can’t wait to go back again for another round!
