Hiking Eaton Canyon Falls

On Saturday morning, the Graduate Students of Biomedical Engineering (GSBME) student group hosted a hike at Eaton Canyon. Located in the mountains right above Pasadena, this trail was four miles total. The end point was a little waterfall the feeds into a stream that runs parallel to the hike. A mix of current graduate BME PhD and Master’s students went, in addition to a few USC alumni. Although it was pretty hot that day, the trail was mostly covered and in shade.

Travis, the treasurer of GSBME, brought his puppy Tubby, and one of the alumni brought her dog, Felix. Tubby showed off a bunch of his tricks when we made it to the top. Having the two pups there definitely made the hike more enjoyable. Whenever Felix got too hot, he sprawled out on the ground and refused to move until he cooled down a little – it was so cute! I really loved this hike because it was long, but not too strenuous. I’ll be going back soon!
