I try to bring most out-of-town visitors to LACMA, even the ones who don’t usually appreciate art as much as myself, because I think the museums capture a lot of LA’s culture. I was lucky to go to LACMA on a rainy day especially because the Levitated Mass exhibit looked amazing with a cloudy sky in the background. Even if the tar pits, ancient fossils, or modern art don’t draw you to LACMA, it is still a great place to be outdoors, and what better place to take a selfie than the Urban Light exhibit? I noticed that most people are so busy taking a picture of themselves hidden in the sprawl of street lamps, that they forget to take a picture of the whole exhibit itself! Although it is hard to get a good picture of all 202 lamps in one shot, I think I did a pretty good job.
