My season pass for Universal Studios Hollywood was going to expire soon and I had been to Universal Studios only once since I got the pass. Finally, just two days before the pass about to expire, I and my friends decided to relive the magic of Harry Potter world!
Even thought it was a Saturday, it was surprisingly less crowded for a weekend. That worked out well for us. We did not have to wait in line for any of the rides that we went on. Well, apart from it being less crowded, we tried something else to avoid the long wait lines. We went into the single rider line instead of the general line. That way we were in front of the line and we also happened to sit next to each other on all the rides. It was a win-win!
I finally met my all-time favorite cartoon character, Scooby Doo! I did not spot him the first time I was at Universal Studios so I was thrilled to see him this time. I spotted Scooby and Shaggy from a distance and literally ran after them to get a picture. You may judge me all you want for this but hey, who doesn’t like reliving their childhood memories? 😀 On seeing me run and shout out Scooby Doo, Scooby actually stopped and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I felt like a five-year-old who was ecstatic to meet her favorite cartoon character. I even did a small dance with Spongebob and I am not at all embarrassed by it. It was fun!
Oh, and that wasn’t the end of the great day that we were already having. When we went inside the Ollivander’s shop in the Harry Potter world, I was the “CHOSEN ONE”. Oh yeah! I was given wands to perform spells and as a wand always chooses its wizard, I was chosen by the reed wand. What a beautiful wand it was. I was hoping that since I was the chosen one, I would be lucky to take the wand home for free. But alas, that did not happen. I would still have had to pay $47 to get the wand, which I did not do since I thought it was a little too expensive. But the entire experience was amazing.
It was a super fun day and I am glad we decided to visit Universal Studios once more. I may get another pass in a few months. Or maybe, I shall visit Disney Land first. That’ll be wonderful!
