A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to visit the USC building in Downtown LA! My apartment is one block away and I actually got to see them put the crest and the letters of the sign up. It took over two weekends and despite some strong gusts, they were able to get it onto the building. It’s incredible seeing this every day, because USC obviously runs LA!

Most of the schools have administrative offices in this location on Olive, including the Marshall School of Business, the Price School of Public Policy, the USC School of Social Work, and of course, the Viterbi School of Engineering! In all, we take up over a quarter of the tower with workplaces and a few laboratories. I met Marc Ballon, a senior editor for USC News, for lunch to catch him up on how my FlexSpecs teammates and I plan to spend our prize money from the Min Family Engineering Social Entrepreneurship Challenge. Hopefully another article about us will be coming out soon!
