Weekender 2015

Every year, hundreds of USC students migrate to San Francisco for the annual football game against one of our Northern California rivals – UC Berkeley (Cal) or Stanford.  Last Friday, I embarked on my second “Weekender” and drove up with my friend to my cousin’s house in the city.  Along the way, we passed by many other USC cars and ran into other fans at our stops at In-N-Out and Chipotle.  Although we missed the Trojan Marching Band rally at the Civic Center because we failed to catch the Caltrain (we were only 2 minutes late!!), we still got to go out that night and see the SF crowds in their Halloween costumes.

Surprisingly, Cal doesn’t really tailgate before their games (super weird, I know), so we decided to have brunch nearby at Venus.  There were tons of USC students everywhere.  I may be biased, but I’m pretty sure there were just as many, if not more, USC fans than Cal fans in and around Berkeley.  To be honest, it’s probably because we’ve beaten them for 12 straight years :P.  Anyways, the whole trip was incredibly fun, and I can’t wait to head back up for the Stanford game next year.  Seeing that I am 2/2 for these trips, let’s keep our fingers crossed and make it 3/3 in 2016!
