Metro U-Pass Program for Graduate Students!

January 21, 2019

Public Service Announcement!

If you are a programming fee-paying graduate student at USC, you can purchase a reduced-fare transit pass for unlimited rides on Metro rail and bus lines from Graduate Student Government (GSG). Sold on a semester basis (fall, spring, summer), the U-Pass is only $105.50 and can be picked up or reloaded at the GSG offices at both the University Park Campus and the Health Sciences Campus. Learn about the requirements at gsg.usc.edu/resources/tap-program.

Metro is an easy way to get around town and explore Los Angeles. The main campus has two stops along Expo Line, which runs directly to Santa Monica on one end, and downtown LA on the other. With all the other lines, you can go to Universal City, Hollywood and Vine, downtown Pasadena, Redondo Beach, and Long Beach!

While this option is only available to graduate students who pay the programming fee right now, we’re working hard with USC Transportation to broaden the eligibility to undergraduates, post-docs, staff, and faculty. Hopefully we can move the program to the administration by the next academic year!
