IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR VITERBI SCHOOL APPLICANTS

Transcripts

Effective for Fall 2020 applicants, you are not required to mail hard copy transcripts to USC for a Master's or Ph.D program in the USC Viterbi School of Engineering.  Currently, the Viterbi School of Engineering is the only USC school that does not require hard copy transcripts at the time of application. Applicant's who are admitted to a program will be asked to provide sealed official transcripts.

Please note: Applicants may receive emails from the USC Graduate Admission office requesting them. If you receive one of these emails and have applied only to a Viterbi School graduate program, you may safely disregard.

Applying to Two Programs

You may apply for a maximum of two graduate programs within the Viterbi School of Engineering with a single application fee of $90 and one set of transcripts and test scores. Please note that this is a benefit for Viterbi School of Engineering applicants only.

To apply for an additional program, a unique SECOND PROGRAM APPLICATION FEE WAIVER code must be provided by the USC Graduate Admission office and must be entered into the online application. However, you must submit one application and provide payment before submitting a second application with the waived fee.

HOW TO OBTAIN THE WAIVER: Applications submitted for multiple Viterbi School programs without a valid waiver will be charged for each additional program and no refunds will be given. See Application Fee Waiver Instructions for instructions on receiving a waiver to apply for a second Viterbi School program.

Scholarship Deadline for Master's Applicants

The Viterbi School is pleased to offer merit-based funding opportunities to U.S. and International students applying for Master’s programs. In order to be considered for funding, you must submit the online Graduate Application for Admission including your scanned official transcripts by December 15.

All other application and supplemental materials required for the program(s) to which you are applying, such as GRE and TOEFL scores, must be submitted by the application deadline of January 15.
