Relaxing at Disneyland

What better way to relieve finals stress than to go to Disneyland right? It was the perfect time to go one last time before my annual pass expired just yesterday. My friend Archana interned for Disney over the summer and throughout the fall semester, so she racked up enough hours to get our labmate a free ticket to go as well. We started off at Disneyland and immediately snagged fastpasses to the bigger rides, Indiana Jones and Space Mountain. We spent some time visiting the classics, It’s a Small World and the Enchanted Tiki Room, since Yuta hadn’t gone before and had Dole Whip and a couple churros along the way.

For lunch, we crossed over to California Adventure to eat at the Cove Bar, my absolute favorite restaurant in any of the theme parks. We had their signature lobster nachos, hot wings, and a turkey leg that we bought in from the Paradise Pier area of the park. Although it was a little bit cloudy that day, we still enjoyed our view of the iconic Ferris wheel and California Screamin’. The rest of the day was spent on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (which will soon be converted to a Guardians of the Galaxy ride), Soarin’ Around the World, and the Radiator Springs Racers. I couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing day or better company. Hopefully I won’t have to wait too long for another opportunity to go!
