Mother’s Day in SF

May 17, 2019

For Mother’s Day, I just so happened to be in San Francisco the same time my aunt was visiting my cousin and her 9-month-old son. It had only been a couple of months since I last saw them, but it was nice having time to catch up nonetheless. We had many relaxing brunches and dinners, with multiple long walks to parks, SF sights, and local shops.

Since the baby needed to nap, we took naps too! It was a great way for me to de-stress after a packed past few weeks and wind down with the end of the academic year. I had a chance to read and fully take my mind off work during the other downtime in his sleep schedule. For Saturday night, one of my close friends had a going-away party since she’s moving to Chicago, so I also was able to explore the city at night and reconnect with some folks that I hadn’t gotten a chance to see since undergrad! Though short, this trip was a really nice one – a true, relaxing vacation. I’ll be back in June for another weekend!
