Birthday Dinner at Everson Royce Bar

July 7, 2019

One of the best parts of studying at USC is being fully immersed in the incredible city of Los Angeles. Because many of my extended family members also live in LA, we often get to experience new restaurants, events, and activities together. Whether it’s for special occasions, like birthdays and anniversaries, or for random get-togethers, we always seek out exciting places to discover around the city.

For my brother’s birthday, we met up at Everson Royce Bar for dinner and drinks. Although it’s been around for a couple of years, it still feels fresh and new every time we go because it’s always humming with a big crowd. The back patio showcases the diverse people who live in LA and everything feels remarkably personal. The servers sometimes take the time to hang out for a bit, making the atmosphere extremely welcoming.

The food is simple, but undeniably delicious and comforting. ERB’s menu may not be very long; however, there’s really something here for everyone. From draft beers to a wide variety of whiskeys, steamed pork belly buns to smoky potato taquitos, you can switch it up every visit.

I’m lucky to have family and friends who are equally as adventurous when it comes to food and entertainment. While I’ve mostly explored the Arts District with my family, my international friends at USC have taken me to many incredible spots in Koreatown. If you’re ever looking for something new to try, don’t hesitate to reach out to me!
